Eric Bekoe joins Olympics on 2-year deal
Eric Bekoe has agreed a two year contract with newly promoted Premier League side, Accra Gt. Olympics.
Ex-Ghana Premier League goal king has revealed that he is now a player for Wonder club, because both parties have agreed on the terms of the contract. “I have agreed a 2-year deal to play for Gt. Olympics when the 2014-15 season begins. It is a done deal because we have both agreed on the terms of the contract. “I am hoping to have a fine period with Gt. Olympics,” he told Metro fm.
The 27-year-old striker has indicated that he wanted to join his former club Kotoko, but the current management of the club wasn’t in favour of his coming. “I wish I had been a Kotoko player, but Opoku Nti didn’t want me to feature for the club. The supporters of Kotoko really like me and even if I score a goal against them, I wouldn’t jubilate, Bekoe said.
Eric Bekoe has fully recovered from a broken leg injury which threatened to end his career.
The former Chelsea player is joining the Gt. Olympics on a free transfer after his contract with the Berekum based club ended.
He scored 17 goals to win top scorer of the 2007/08 league season and a total of 42 goals in all competitions in his one year stay with the Porcupine Warriors.
